Lorena S. Propst, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1907, in New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of Barney and Celestine Heisserer Baudendistel. She and Earl L. Propst were married Jan. 1, 1934, in Cape Girardeau. He died in June 1973.
Propst was a cook on a riverboat for Marquette Cement Co., and then worked 25 years at Ely Walker in Scott City. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Council of Catholic Women, St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Council 1111.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother and six sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
