Funeral service for Loren Casper Pincksten of Bossier City, La., was held July 3, 1997, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Bossier City. The Rev. Jerry Ables officiated. Graveside rites were conducted by Barksdale Air Force Honor Guard.
Pincksten, 61, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 25, 1935, near Pocahontas, son of Steve and Emma S. Holshen Pincksten. He married the former Betty Murfee.
Pincksten attended schools in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Air Force 20 years, retiring as a technical sergeant in July 1975.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bossier City and a choir many years. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Pincksten of Greenville, Miss.; a daughter, Debbie Pincksten of the home; three brothers, Omer Pincksten of Fairdealing, Alvin Schirmer of Cedar Hill, Roland Schirmer of Fredericktown; two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Fenton, and Irene Majone of Berwyn, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
