LOREN ADAMS

COBDEN, Ill. -- Loren E. Adams, 83, of Cobden died Friday, Nov. 1, 1996, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.

He was born Dec. 19, 1912, in Cobden to Roy Franklin and Martha Brasel Adams. He married Pearl M. Sitter June 12, 1937.

He is survived by his wife, a son, R.G. Adams of Dallas, and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cobden for 56 years and was retired from the state of Illinois.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendelman Funeral Home in Cobden. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating.
