Lorean Knupp

SCOTT CITY -- Lorean Knupp, daughter of the late Jesse E. Barbeau and Leona B. Misplay Barbeau was born Aug. 22, 1912, in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the young age of 108.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City and a former resident of Scott City.

On Dec. 25, 1929, she was united in marriage to Claude Knupp in Scott City. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1970.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay Johnson in Scott City and Doris Lawrence of Rogersville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Knupp of Scott City; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tom Knupp, and by one daughter at birth, Delores Knupp.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Arrangements are being conducted by Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
