JACKSON -- Lora M. Riemann, 94, of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1993, at Maehill Care Center in Farmington.
She was born Dec. 30, 1899, at Leemon, daughter of William Henry and Hattie Noland McDowell. She and Charles E. Riemann were married March 5, 1921. He died Aug. 9, 1968.
Riemann attended Will Mayfield College at Marble Hill, and taught at the former Riemann School near Millersville. She was a cook with Ingram Barge Line 15 years, retiring in 1959. She moved to Jackson in 1950 from Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church, Wesley Sunday School Class, and had been an active volunteer at the Nutrition Center in Cape Girardeau until a month ago.
Survivors include a son, Charles Riemann Jr. of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Anna Lohman of Jackson, Mary Bollinger of Park Hills; a brother, Allen McDowell of Jackson; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Nancy Woods will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
