BLOOMFIELD -- Lora Hopkins, 89, formerly of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, June 15, 1993, in Casterville, Texas.

She was born Nov. 1, 1903, at Bloomfield, daughter of Ritchson and Stella Kidd Scism. She married Lewis Boyd Hopkins Nov. 28, 1923, who preceded her in death.

Hopkins was a member of First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels, Texas.

Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Hood of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Gurvis Scism of Dexter; a sister, Larue Chapman of Chaffee; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
