WILSON CITY -- Lonzie Lane, 78, of Wilson City, died Sunday, March 14, 1993, at Charleston Manor. He was born Aug. 20, 1914, at Midway, Ala., son of Leonds and Clara Hall Lane. Lane was a retired teletype operator. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Heard of Wyatt; a brother, Lommie Lane of Wilson City; two sisters, Hattie Kimble of Charleston, Inona Wesley of Wilson City; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren...

WILSON CITY -- Lonzie Lane, 78, of Wilson City, died Sunday, March 14, 1993, at Charleston Manor.

He was born Aug. 20, 1914, at Midway, Ala., son of Leonds and Clara Hall Lane.

Lane was a retired teletype operator.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Heard of Wyatt; a brother, Lommie Lane of Wilson City; two sisters, Hattie Kimble of Charleston, Inona Wesley of Wilson City; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sanders Chapel AME Church, with the Rev. T.L. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
