ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Lonnie Seal of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Scott Harner will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Seal, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born May 4, 1907, at Des Arc, Mo., son of Fred Huston and Mary Parlee Vavock Seal. He and Bessie Vaughn were married July 25, 1930. She died June 8, 1988.

Seal retired as a pressman at General Steel Casting in Granite City, Ill., where he worked 36 years. He was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church and a former trustee at Calvary Baptist Church in Granite City.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Hauetter of Kansas City; a brother, James Seal of Piedmont, Mo.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
