Lonnie Phelps

Lonnie F. Phelps, 58, of Randles died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at the family home.

He was born Aug. 1, 1952, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Sheldon Franklin and Stella Irene Chapman Phelps. He married Minnie F. Mansker on April 18, 1973. She preceded him in death July 26, 1989.

Lonnie was a Diesel mechanic with McBride Mack Truck Sales in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Chris (Cindy) Phelps of Randles, Steve Phelps of Delta; a grandson, Christopher Williams of Randles; and a special friend, Kay Menz of Randles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeremy Kyle Phelps; a grandson, Kyle Phelps; two brothers; and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran, Mo.
