Lonnie Ray Crews, 75, of Scott City died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Rives, Missouri, to Oscar and Fleeta Scott Crews. Lonnie Ray Crews, 75, of Scott City died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Rives, Missouri, to Oscar and Fleeta Scott Crews. He married Cheryl King on Sept. 27, 1973.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City and a life member of Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a daughter, Cherie Tredway of St. Charles, Missouri; a special niece he thought of as a daughter, Tracy Baelum; three brothers, Elwood (Marie) Crews, J.E. Crews and Kenneth (Brenda) Crews; three sisters, Virginia Lowery, Barbara (George) Clark and Eunice (Cecil) Anderson; brother-in-law, Andy King; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
