PERRYVILLE -- Lonieta C. Clifton, 72, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, at her home. She was born Aug. 20, 1925, at Old Appleton, daughter of Ferdinand and Annie Barks Ruessler. She and Martin Clifton were married Sept. 28, 1946. Clifton had worked at Prince Gardner and International Shoe Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Women's Missionary Union, had been a Sunday School teacher, and worked in the Baptist Clothes Closet...

PERRYVILLE -- Lonieta C. Clifton, 72, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, at her home.

She was born Aug. 20, 1925, at Old Appleton, daughter of Ferdinand and Annie Barks Ruessler. She and Martin Clifton were married Sept. 28, 1946.

Clifton had worked at Prince Gardner and International Shoe Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Women's Missionary Union, had been a Sunday School teacher, and worked in the Baptist Clothes Closet.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Anna Brune of Perryville; two sons, Martin and Paul Clifton of St. Louis; four sisters, Estella Grindstaff, Laura Winkler and Edna Ponder, all of Perryville, Ruby Wilfong of Patton; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Fullerton officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
