DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Lonell Williamson of Dongola will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Revs. Paul Sadler and Roger Menees will officiate. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Williamson, 57, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at his home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1939, at Bloomfield, Mo., son of Arvel and Francis Rankin Williamson. He and Judyth A. Hayes were married Aug. 12, 1961, at Dexter, Mo.
Williamson was a journeyman lineman. He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post, and of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 701 in West Frankfort.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberly Johnson of Grand Chain; a son, Shawn Williamson of Dongola; his father of Avert, Mo.; a brother, Jerry Williamson of Dongola; four sisters, Betty Ivester of Scott City, Mo., Dorothy Dawes of Goreville, Janus Cole of Marion, Emma Kimbrel of Bloomfield; a grandmother, Ollie Hobbs of Dexter; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
