Lona Pearl Crader, 80, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Randles, Mo., daughter of William and Minnie Sheets Darby. She and Linder Ray Crader were married April 12, 1941. He died March 30, 1981.
The Craders moved to Jackson in the late 1940s from Delta. She worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill before working at Southeast Missouri Hospital until the mid 1990s.
Survivors include a son, Duane Crader and wife Marcele of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, CWO Terry Crader and wife Lori of Fairbanks, Alaska, Shar Carson and husband Andrew of Tampa; a daughter-in-law, Betty Schuetts of Cape Girardeau; her daughter, Dana Gier and husband Chris of Lake Jackson, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Ashley Crader, Tyler Carson, Allison, Logan and Carson Gier; two nieces, Susie Webb and Kay Keesee; and a nephew, Gary Darby.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Crader, in 1964; three brothers; a sister, a half brother, and a half sister.
Private graveside service was held Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
