LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Lolon Huffman Benton, 77, of Leopold died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Oran, Mo., son of Simon Harrison and Ada Alice Huffman Benton.
He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was a member of the At The Cross Church in Leopold.
Survivors include two sisters, Lorie Robbins of Leopold and Leema Burns of Cape Girardeau; and 16 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Harold Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery.
