SIKESTON -- Lola A. Walker, 89, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at her home.
She was born Dec. 17, 1908, in Amaretta, Ark., daughter of Randall and Mary Trowbridge Ray. She and Dennis E. Walker were married Nov. 7, 1926, in Piggott, Ark. He died March 9, 1992.
Walker was a member of First United Methodist Church, taught a kindergarten class 23 years, and also taught Sunday School. She was a member and past worthy matron of New Madrid Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Walker of Los Lunas, N.M., Dale Walker of Sikeston; a daughter, Janice Schrader of Suwanee, Ga.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
