Lois J. Unfer, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born March 12, 1927, to Frank and Lillian Zendrich Havel.
She and Louis Unfer were married Jan. 30, 1954, at Champaign, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
Lois was a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign. She was swimming-lessons coordinator for the Kiwanis Club for over 25 years. She was part owner of Crown Cake and Parties. Cake decorating was something Lois loved. She was a nature lover and loved to travel. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta (Joe) Terry of Cape Girardeau; her son, Robert Louis Unfer of Sikeston, Missouri; granddaughters, Melissa Dilley, Megan Butler and Mackenzie Terry; and great-granddaughters, Maddy Davie, Caitlin Dilley and Abigail Butler. She also is survived by two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Barry Winders officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Missouri State University Science Fair or Missouri Conservation Department.
