Lois Jean Smith, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at her home.

She was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James Nution and Eugie Ijetty Kinder Wiley. She and Marvin Smith were married Feb. 18, 1950, in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Smith was a licensed practical nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital 15 years and retired as head nurse at Cape LaCroix Manor. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, the Rev. Marvin Kim Smith of Clarksville, Tenn., Mark Anthony Smith of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Bill Burke and the Rev. E.K. Purcell officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Southeast Hospice.
