ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lois O. Shell, 89, of Advance died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Bentonville Manor in Bentonville, Ark.
She was born Jan. 22, 1912, near Marble Hill, Mo., daughter of Avery and Myrtle Wycoff Hahn. She and Merl Shell were married Nov. 7, 1934. He died April 18, 1950.
Shell had been a teacher, farmer, and worked many years at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church, DAR, Arbor Missionary Society and Bollinger County Historical Society.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Shell of Bentonville; a daughter, Doris Sturgeon of Arnold, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Greenlee officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
