MARBLE HILL -- Lois M. Rea, 77, of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 23, 1998, at the family home following an illness.
She was born May 29, 1921, at Zalma, daughter of Charley and Sarah Sturgeon Dinkins.
She and Hobert Rea were married in April 1939. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Zalma General Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 5900 in Marble Hill.
She is survived by four sons, Larry G. Rea of Alton, Ill., Hobert W. Rea of Villa Ridge, Edward C. Rea of East Alton, Ill., and Terry M. Rea of Marble Hill; a brother, Charles Dinkins Jr.; four sisters, Jessie Mahon of Blytheville, Opal Bailey of Hayti, Idella Maxine Fee of Marble Hill and Gertrude Marsh of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Burchette officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
