FAIRFIELD BAY, Ark. -- Lois Lucille Chastain-Hilton, 100, was born to the late Robert W. and Stella Christian Reutzel on Dec. 15, 1915, in Cape Girardeau and passed from this life Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, in Fairfield Bay.

Lucille faced many challenges in her 100 years, but rose to meet each one with faith and optimism. She was a hairdresser in her early years after high school and later retired as a bank teller after 32 years with Simmons Bank. Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the time of her passing.

Left to cherish her memory are her niece and caregiver, Peggy Camper; three nephews, Gary Reutzel, Barry Reutzel and Timothy Tucker; two nieces, Sharon Vessels and Sandy Olsen; other relatives; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Orville Chastain; her second husband, John D. Hilton; five brothers, Willard Reutzel, Lester Reutzel, Glen Reutzel, Eugene Reutzel and Charles Reutzel; one sister, Mary Tucker; one niece, Donna Reutzel; and two nephews, Eugene Reutzel and Richard Reutzel.

She was cared for and loved by many at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay and will be missed for her beautiful smile and kind heart.

A memorial service in her honor will be announced at a later time.
