Lois Gwyn Englehart, 71, of Jackson died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Monticello House.
She was born Jan. 23, 1943, in San Francisco to Albert George and Rilda Bingham Dattge.
She and Gerald L. Englehart were married May 6, 1960 in Las Vegas.
Lois worked with the family on the farm. Outside the home, she worked for the Jackson Manor, Schaper's IGA and McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
She worked with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Hickory Grove 4-H Club. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings and a member of the daughters of Utah Pioneer organization. She had love of family history, worked in the church family history center and had served in the St. Louis Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald L. Englehart of Jackson; daughter, Gwyn (Roger) Devenport of Sedgewickville, Missouri; sons, Jerry (Cindy) Englehart of Las Vegas; Wayne (Nobuko) Englehart of Jackson; Ryan (Melissa Sharp) Englehart of Jackson; sisters, Verla (Ralph) Purdy of Pahrump, Nevada; Carolyn (Jean) Brown of Sacramento, California; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1048 W. Cape Rock Drive in Cape Girardeau with the Bishop Dennis Mouser officiating.
Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missionary Fund for the Church of Latter-day Saints.
