BENTON -- Lois E. Fenimore, 76, of Benton Route 1, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 1991, at her home following an extended illness. She was born May 28, 1915, at Sikeston Route 1, daughter of Benjamin F. and Anna J. Brown Hahn. On Dec. 18, 1937, she married Ira "Rip" Fenimore in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 4, 1991...

BENTON -- Lois E. Fenimore, 76, of Benton Route 1, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 1991, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born May 28, 1915, at Sikeston Route 1, daughter of Benjamin F. and Anna J. Brown Hahn.

On Dec. 18, 1937, she married Ira "Rip" Fenimore in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 4, 1991.

She taught elementary grades in the one-room Tanner School at Tanner, Mo., and later worked for many years in the office of International Shoe Co. at Sikeston.

She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 137 of Sikeston and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.

Survivors are sons, Clarke E. Fenimore, Louisville, Ky., and Fred Fenimore, Durham, N.C.; sisters, Eula Huss, Jefferson City, and Eleanor Hahn, Benton Route 1; five granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

At noon Sunday, the body will be taken to First United Methodist Church for service at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church chapel. The pastor, the Rev. Charles E. Buck, will officiate. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
