Lois Harriet Culver, daughter of the late Joseph D. Chockley and Lela Vanfossen Chockley was born May 22, 1934, in Rushville, Illinois and departed this life Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 85 years.
On March 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to Louis Harrison Culver. Mr. Culver preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2015.
Mrs. Culver was a 30-year employee at K-Mart in Cape Girardeau until her retirement Jan. 31. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, Missouri, and a resident of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sons, Michael E. Culver (Tina) of Cape Girardeau and Brian Culver (Barbara) of Morehouse, Missouri; two daughters, Sharon Adney (Walt) of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Susan Harper (Bill) of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Marvin Chockley of Lewiston, Illinois; sister, Marjorie J. Chockley of Creve Core, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Culver; daughter, Cathy Culver; and brother, Josiah Chockley.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating.
