LOIS CORBIT

BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Lois Corbit, 84, of Buncombe died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Everette and Grace Bean Menees. She and Lowell E. Corbit were married Dec. 21, 1946. He died in 1995.

Corbit was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. She worked at CIPS Co. prior to her marriage. She was a member of Ebenezer Hall Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Dean Corbit of Buncombe; two daughters, Donna Dyer of Wentzville, Mo., Diana Johnson of Eldorado, Ill.; a sister, Mildred Menees of Anna; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, a sister, and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Friday, and Saturday at Ebenezer Hall Church after 9 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Ron Cox and Mike Chestnut officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
