Dora Lois Bollheimer, 95, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, died Tuesday Nov. 15, 2011, at Auburn Creek Assisted Living in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 27, 1916, in Doniphan, Mo., to Alphanso Green and Dora Elizabeth Hutton Paul. She and J.M. Bollheimer were married July 28, 1941. He died Feb. 12, 1994.
Lois graduated from Doniphan High School. She was a secretary for the Butler County superintendent of schools from 1953 to 1961. Then she was secretary for the superintendent of the Neelyville school system retiring July 1, 1979. In 1985 she and her husband moved to Jackson and in 2007 she moved to Auburn Creek.
Lois was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. She was also a member of the Esther Circle and the UMW.
She is survived by a daughter Carol (Dr. Louis) Rohlfs of Jackson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Mo., with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to New McKendree United Methodist Church.
