BERTRAND -- Lofton Kellick, 89, formerly of Bertrand, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews. He was born Oct. 7, 1910, in Ripley, Tenn., son of Claude and Lillie Miller Kellick. He and Mary Virginia Peters were married in 1930. She died Jan. 12, 1997...

BERTRAND -- Lofton Kellick, 89, formerly of Bertrand, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

He was born Oct. 7, 1910, in Ripley, Tenn., son of Claude and Lillie Miller Kellick. He and Mary Virginia Peters were married in 1930. She died Jan. 12, 1997.

Kellick lived in the Bertrand area most of his life.

Survivors include a son, Bill Kellick of Sikeston; a daughter, Lois Lancaster of Matthews; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Saturday.
