MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Loeta B. Helderman, 87, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Jackson Manor in Jackson. She was born Nov. 6, 1916, at Crump, Mo., daughter of Birt and Ethel McCoullough Brown. She and Woodrow A. Helderman were married Dec. 31, 1934, in Jackson. He died Jan. 21, 2001...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Loeta B. Helderman, 87, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born Nov. 6, 1916, at Crump, Mo., daughter of Birt and Ethel McCoullough Brown. She and Woodrow A. Helderman were married Dec. 31, 1934, in Jackson. He died Jan. 21, 2001.

Loeta was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and its Naomi Circle. She was a lifetime member of Jackson Trail Riders, TWPHC of Missouri and a 50-year member of Eastside Homemakers Club in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Bobby A. Helderman of Marble Hill; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jerry Hitt of Millersville; a sister and brother-in-law, Elode and Bill Siebert of Cape Girardeau.

Also surviving are four granddaughters, Debbie L. Thurman, husband Chuck, children Sammie and Corey of Jackson; Kandi L. Smith, husband Doug, children Bennett, Emilee and Olivia of Burfordville; Bobbie L. Reagan, husband Sean of Jackson; and Beckie L. Maintz, husband Scott, children Mallorie, Peyton and Dawson of Oak Ridge.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
