MOUNDS, Ill. -- Loella Robinson, 83, of Mounds passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Mound City, Ill., daughter of William and Eunice Sweet Hankins.
Loella was a member of Mounds Assembly of God Church. She and her husband owned and operated Robinson Grocery Store 20 years in Mounds. She was a member and past president of Mounds VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Max Russell Robinson Jr. of Mounds; a daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Watkins of Sevierville, Tenn.; two sons, Max Russell "Rusty" Robinson III (Karen) of Festus, Mo., John A. Robinson of Mounds; six grandchildren, Jerry Pat (Lisa) Thurston, Joey (Buffy) Thurston, Jamie (Chris) Mouser, Amanda Hill, Katie Smith (Heather Bode), Robbie (Kala) Robinson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery before the service.
Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
