SIKESTON -- Lloyd Wilson, 86, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 19, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Bertrand, son of Ed and Ida Winters Wilson. He and Mildred Showmaker were married March 14, 1934. Wilson worked at Illinois Lumber Co. in Cairo 27 years, was employed by the state of Illinois eight years, and had owned a service station in Cairo. He was a member of First Christian Church...

SIKESTON -- Lloyd Wilson, 86, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 19, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Bertrand, son of Ed and Ida Winters Wilson. He and Mildred Showmaker were married March 14, 1934.

Wilson worked at Illinois Lumber Co. in Cairo 27 years, was employed by the state of Illinois eight years, and had owned a service station in Cairo. He was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Wilson of Jackson; two daughters, Patsy Donze of Sikeston, Sandra Jeffords of St. Charles; a brother, Leonard Wilson of Cairo; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
