SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lloyd Wilburn, 98, of Sikeston died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. He was born Feb. 28, 1904, in East Prairie, Mo., the son of Louis W. and Nora Hinton Wilburn. He married Ruby Rogers. He then married Novella McElreath on March 12, 1944, in Charleston, Mo. She preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 1984. He later married Ollie Combs. She also preceded him in death...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lloyd Wilburn, 98, of Sikeston died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 28, 1904, in East Prairie, Mo., the son of Louis W. and Nora Hinton Wilburn.

He married Ruby Rogers. He then married Novella McElreath on March 12, 1944, in Charleston, Mo. She preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 1984. He later married Ollie Combs. She also preceded him in death.

He was a farmer and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.

He is survived by two sons, Glenn Wilburn of Sikeston and Lindsey Wilburn of Ballwin, Mo.; two daughters, Doris Jean Adkisson of Lafayette, La., and Peggy Ann Grimes of Sikeston; two brothers, Louis Wilburn Jr. and Roy Wilburn, both of Matthews, Mo.; two sisters, Opal Myers and Helen Stallings, both of East Prairie, Mo.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Steve Tippen, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
