FARMINGTON -- Lloyd Roosevelt Thomason, 74, of Farmington died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Fleur De Lis Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Bollinger County, son of Charles and Beulah Drum Thomason.
Thomason had worked in utility repair at Ford Motor Co. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, lifetime member of Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post 5896 at Farmington, lifetime member of AmVets at Berkeley, and former member of UAW Local 325 in Hazelwood.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Marie Statler; a son, John Thomason of St. Charles; two daughters, Betty Skaggs of St. Charles, Dianne Lehmann of Florissant; a brother, Carl Thomason of St. James; four sisters, Marguriete Long of New Lenox, Ill., Helen Seabaugh of St. Peters, Lucille Sams and Janice Boeller of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Cozean Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. A VFW service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dino Pacilli officiating. Entombment will be at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
