Lloyd Koechig

Lloyd J. Koechig, 77, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 12, 1927, in Jackson, son of Louis and Pauline Probst Koechig. He and Betty Buckner were married Dec. 9, 1993.

Lloyd was a former resident of Rochelle, Ill., returning to Jackson in 1975. He was an independent construction worker more than 40 years. He was baptized at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.

Loving survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Koechig of Dixon, Ill.; a daughter, Barbara May of Dixon; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Bob) Hallesy of Vienna, Ill.; a stepson, Michael (Catalina) Moss of Pearland, Texas; four sisters, Imogene (Don) Mattson, Lenora (Paul) Polwak, Mary Ann (Don) Johnson, all of Rochelle, Shirley (Duane) Paul of Littleton, Colo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and beloved by all.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Leo and Gene Koechig, and a sister, Lucille Lee.

The service will be private at Russell Heights Cemetery.
