PERRYVILLE -- Lloyd William Guth Sr., 75, of Perryville, died Sunday, March 31, 1996, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 27, 1920, at Pocahontas, son of Arthur and Anna Koenig Guth. He and Irene Unterreiner were married Feb. 22, 1941. She died Dec. 21, 1974. He and Hildegard Verseman Lohmann were married Oct. 15, 1976.
Guth was retired from International Shoe Co. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and Western Catholic Union. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Lloyd "Bill" Guth Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Robert Guth of Tucson, Ariz., Edward and Thomas Guth of Perryville; his mother of Perryville; a sister, Anna Hudson of Perryville, Eldon Guth of Barnhardt; 10 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren, and a great-stepgrandchild.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
