Lloyd George Henson, 71, 906 S. Ellis, died Tuesday, May 14, 1991, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, son of Howard and Millie Davis Henson. He married Delores Ervin July 5, 1940, in Cape Girardeau.
Henson had been a fireman, operated a grocery store and sold auto supplies, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Word of Faith Fellowship Church. Henson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, L. Don Henson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Fred and Gerald Kempfer of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mary Reynolds of Jonesboro, Ill., and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Barnhart, and a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Earl Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
