BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Lloyd Diamond of Bertrand will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
Diamond, 86, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 30, 1909, at Pittman, Ark., son of Mont "Gobel" and Tina Ellen Grisham Diamond. He first married Ada Belle Spalding Jan. 7, 1952, at Bloomfield. She died Sept. 20, 1979. He later married Edith Shively Crosier April 28, 1980, at Charleston.
He was a self-employed farmer, and member of Benton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Don Crosier of Barlow, Ky.; four stepdaughters, Ruth Leppen of Detroit, Mich., Mickey Sisk of Bertrand, Wanda Swenson of Peoria, Ill., Bonnie Collier of Villa Ridge, Ill.; a brother, Wayne Diamond of Matthews; three sisters, Ethel Cannon of Benton, Leatha Spencer of Cape Girardeau, Stella West of Wentzville; 17 stepgrandchildren; 25 great-stepgrandchildren, and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson and stepdaughter.
