MARQUAND, Mo. -- Lloyd Sherman Barrett, 77, of Marquand, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1924, in Marquand, he was a son of Oscar and Berda Stephens Barrett.
On May 14, 1950, he married Reva Maxine Hawn, who survives.
A farmer and a carpenter, Barrett was a member of Shetley's Creek Baptist Church in Marquand. He also enjoyed fishing.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Other survivors include a son, Lloyd Sherman Barrett Jr. of Marquand; two daughters, Barbara Ford of Jackson, Mo., and Brenda Mueller of Marquand; one brother, Norman Barrett of Moberly, Mo.; one sister, Blondeana Stephens of Marquand; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Mo.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Shetley's Creek Baptist Church with Billy Wiggins and George Crossom officiating. Burial will be at Barrett Cemetery in Buckhorn, Mo.
