LLOYD B. ALLEN

MILLERSVILLE -- Lloyd B. Allen, 76, of Millersville, died Saturday, March 20, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born September 26, 1916, at Gravel Hill, Mo., son of Barney and Amanda Hanners Allen.

He married Lola Guinn on March 30, 1946, at Cape Girardeau. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Richard Allen of Millersville; a daughter Cheryl Dudley of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Iva Thorne of Jackson and Alma Howard, Burfordville; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two step-great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Allen was a member of Altenthal-Jornes American Legion Post #158, and the Christ Gospel Church of Millersville. He served in the Army in World War II. He was employed many years at Florsheim Shoe Factory until his retirement in 1979.

Service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Chapel at Jackson with the Rev. Charles Newell officiating. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery near Glen Allen.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday the funeral home. An American Legion service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
