Lloyd Alvin Jones, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Stillings, son of John Rufus and Hazel Irene Orendorff Jones.
He first married Myrtle McGinnis Oct. 24, 1936, in Liberty. She died June 20, 1988.
He married Katrina Moffett Kesterson Jan. 3, 1974, in Cape Girardeau. She died June 22, 1994.
He was member of First Baptist Church of Leeds and also a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
He was a truck driver for Dealers Transport of Kansas City and Schwerman Trucking Co. of Milwaukee, retiring in 1978.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth A. Jones of Liberty and Gary Wayne Jones of London, England; a stepson, Alan Kesterson of St. Peters; a daughter, Debra Jean Jones of Englewood, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
No visitation or funeral service will be held. Burial will take place at Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery in St. Louis
