Lisa Payne, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 29, 2023, at her home.
She was born Aug. 5, 1966, in Cape Girardeau to Norman Farrar and Betty Jean Payne Davis. She was married to Jonathan Johnson. He preceded her in death.
Lisa was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She was a homemaker. Everyone was welcome at her house. No one was a stranger.
Survivors include four children, Jonathan Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Lakeish Johnson of Springfield, Illinois, and twins, Cole and Olivia Craven of Jackson; five grandchildren; eight sisters, Terri (Tony) Harris of Cape Girardeau, Trish (Robert) Newbern of Cape Girardeau, Diana Farrar of Cape Girardeau, Melissa Simon of Memphis, Tennessee, Glenda Williams of Cape Girardeau, Doris (Elmous) Dennis, Callie Frierson of Cape Girardeau and Carolyn Davis; and five brothers, Raymond (Gail) Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri, Howard Sides of Battle Creek, Michigan, Norman (Joyce) Farrar Jr. of Atlanta, Alfred (Ethel) Farrar of Cape Girardeau and Calvin (Queenie) Payne of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Farrar; mother, Betty Jean Clifton Davis; husband, Jonathan Johnson; three sisters, Geneva McDaniels, Gestel Davis and Shirley Thomas; and five brothers, Jerry Farrar, Edward Davis, Billy Davis, Clifton Davis and Fred Payne.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 10, at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at noon Saturday, June 10, at the funeral home, with Elder Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
