ANNA, Ill. -- Lisa G. Hess, 45, of Anna died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at home after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Anna, daughter of Wayne L. and Darlene Eiselmeier Douglas. She and Samuel W. Hess were married May 19, 1984, at Anna.
Hess was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna. She graduated from Shawnee Community College in 1981 with an associate degree. She graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1988 with an AAS degree in court reporting. Hess worked as a legal assistant for the Union County state's attorney's office and as a court reporter for the Union County coroner's office for 15 years.
Survivors include her husband of Cobden, Ill.; two sons, Tyler Wayne Hess, Jacob Samuel Hess, both of Cobden; her parents of Anna; and a sister, Tanya D. Womick of Anna.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Paul Weber officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
