MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Linzy H. Walls, 70, of Matthews died Friday, July 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Cleveland, Ark., son of Orville Howard and Ester Rhodes Walls. He and Bonnie Jo Lefler were married Jan. 25, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.
Walls was a retired farmer, and had also worked for E.P. Coleman Cotton Co. He was a member of Big Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Walls of Matthews, James Walls of Catron, Mo.; a daughter, Ginger McWaters of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Doyle Walls of Prestonsburg, Ky., Claudie Walls of Jackson, Mo.; four sisters, Cuma Hale and Norma Nall of Sikeston, Jimmy Peache of Mountain Home, Ark., Wanda Vann of Matthews; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
