Linus Leo Glastetter, 79, of Scott City died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 16, 1931, in Chaffee, Mo., son of George John and Coletta Anna Schmitt Glastetter. He and Thearl Lee Hill Moore were married Aug. 31, 1968, in Benton, Mo.
Glastetter was a construction surveyor 42 years with Missouri State Highway Department. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and VFW Post 6407 of Scott City.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Pee Wee (Virgie) Moore of Daisy; a sister, Armella Glastetter of Scott City; three grandchildren, Stacey (Roger) Smith and Michelle (John) Reeves of Whitewater, Patrick Moore of Cape Girardeau; five great-grandchildren, Zachary and Kaitlyn Smith, Christopher Moore, Brandon and Kimberly Horman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, with full military honors.
