CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Linus Otto Dannenmueller, 81, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 14, 1921, at Oran, Mo., son of Zeno Nicholas and Dena Katherine Schlitt Dannenmueller. He and Mary Dean Amos were married Dec. 29, 1948.
Dannenmueller retired as a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and its Men's Club, Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810, American Legion Post 389, and Knights of Columbus Council 4311.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Dannenmueller of Clarksville, Tenn.; a daughter, Joyce Loucks of Chaffee; a sister, Myrtle Golightly of Mary Esther, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6:30, followed by an Elks service at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
