ADVANCE, Mo. -- Linda H. Tubbs, 98, of Nashville, Ill., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville.
She was born Aug. 20, 1904, at Advance, daughter of Fredrick and Clara Sparfeld Bock. She and Leland Floyd Tubbs Sr. were married April 3, 1932, at Whitewater. He died Oct. 1, 1998.
Tubbs was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 805 of Nashville and Washington County, and Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Leland Tubbs Jr. of Mascoutah, Ill.; two daughters, Marjorie Shubert of Watson, Ill., Marilyn Hemminghaus of Nashville; a sister, Viola Weisenborn of Columbia, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, a half sister, and three half brothers.
The funeral was held Jan. 15 at Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville. The Rev. Robert Herath officiated. Burial was in North Prairie Cemetery near Nashville.
