KEMP, Texas -- Linda Sue McCullough, 69, of Kemp passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at her home.
She was born May 3, 1947, at Brownwood, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Clara Kynion Kidd.
Linda had been the chief operating officer of Nova Marketing in Dallas. Prior to moving to Texas, she worked in the sales division of KFVS12.
She was a long-time member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas. She served in key leadership roles in the children's ministry for 25 years. Linda coordinated many events, such as the fall festivals and youth retreats. She was the chairwoman of the church's children's committee for many years. She had a passionate love for children and bringing families together in Christ. She was very giving of her time to the less fortunate.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Linda and Gordon McCullough were united in marriage March 7, 1980, at Jackson, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Andy (Shelly) Stepp of Kemp and Joshua (Jaclyn) McCullough of Frisco, Texas; a daughter, Angela (Jeff) Steele of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Paul and Forrest Kidd, both of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Patricia Galloway of Jackson and Peggy Jones of Chaffee, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Danielle Stepp, Caleb Steele, Haley Steele, Jackson McCullough and Jared McCullough.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Lee Quinn; and a grandchild, JennaMarie Haven McCullough.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.
The funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
