DEXTER, Mo. -- Linda Mae Wright, 75, of Dexter passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. DEXTER, Mo. -- Linda Mae Wright, 75, of Dexter passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Linda was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Kennett, Missouri, to Archie Douglas and Elizabeth Lochial Milburn. She married Billy Pat Wright on June 16, 1961, at Hayti Church of Christ.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Linda was a graduate of Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. She and Billy Pat Wright owned Century 21 Real Estate, where she served as a broker. She was a substitute teacher for the Dexter school system. She also worked for the unemployment office for several years and retired as an auditor for the state of Missouri.

She was a member of Dexter Church of Christ. She was an avid seamstress and loved to read and cook. She was a former president of the Dexter Republican Club. She enjoyed the beaches of Gulf Shores and Captiva Island, as well as spending time at Windy Hill Farms near Eleven Point River and Forche Lake.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Billy Pat Wright; three daughters; six grandchildren; and one brother. Family survivors include daughter Elaine Elizabeth Meade and spouse Chris of Orlando, Florida; daughter Leah Wright Kelley of Dexter; daughter Laura Paige Niblett and spouse Tad of Foley, Alabama; grandchildren Drew and Kole Kelley, Jackson and Laighton Meade and Riley and Cassidy Niblett; and brother Douglas Milburn and spouse Debbie of Kennett.

Funeral and visitation arrangements have been made at the Dexter Church of Christ.

Services will be held on Thursday. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., with the funeral immediately following. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
