LINDA L. NELSON

NEW WELLS -- Linda L. Nelson, 40, of New Wells, died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, at her home.

She was born Jan. 2, 1955, in Perryville, daughter of William R. and Agnes Kiefer Whiteside. He first married Mike Allmon.

Nelson was a graduate of Jackson High School.

She had worked at Mercantile Bank in Cape Girardeau 17 years, and was currently a new accounts representative. She was a member of Jackson Trail Riders, and attended First General Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori Lee Allmon of New Wells; her father and stepmother, William and Mary Whiteside of Perryville; her mother and stepfather, Agnes and Joe Myers of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Martin Whiteside of St. Peters, Billy Whiteside of Perryville; two sisters, Debbie Lipsey of Oak Ridge, Carla Whetsel of Montgomery, Ala., and maternal grandmother, Louise Kiefer of Dittmer.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
