Linda Hester

Linda Carol Vanaman Hester, 59, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at her home.

She was born March 18, 1954, in Pine Bluff, Ark., the loving daughter of Jack and Jenny Vanaman and sister of Ruth Vanaman Ogden.

Survivors include a daughter, Tiffani Heimbach; a son, Chris Hester; nieces Kelly Cargle and Jill Morales, and their children, Jessica Bennett, Jessica Menz and Chris Morales; and Jessica Bennett's children, Ethyn, Emma and Riley; and a brother-in-law, William Ogden.

Raised in Cape Girardeau, she lived in several different places and had many careers, but her first love was art in all forms with a special passion for oil painting.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Church in St. Peters.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Linda Hester Memorial Fund in care of Chris Hester, 1940 Eden Way, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
