Linda P. Harding, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Leadwood, Mo., to Monroe and Carrie Yount Ward.
She first married Clyde E. Pirtle on April 11, 1942, at Farmington, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1976. She then married Warren Harding, who preceded her in 1993.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary at VFW Post 1313 and also was a member of the Women's Golf Association at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Pirtle and wife Sandra of Scott City; a stepdaughter, Deborah Bock and husband Burton of Cape Girardeau; four stepgrandchildren, Daniele Strahan, Adrian Moore and husband Jeremy, James Staufenbiel, Megan Staufenbiel, all of Cape Girardeau; and one great-stepgrandchild, Mallory Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Jim Smiley officiating.
