LINDA G. MURPHY

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. -- Linda G. Murphy, 47, of Murphysboro died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital in Murphysboro.

She was born June 22, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William and Marian Midgett Scheper. She married Ted Murphy in May 1972. He survives.

She was a store manager, bookkeeper and a member of Outreach Ministries in Murphysboro.

She is survived by her mother, six sons, Teddy Murphy of Florissant, Mo., George and Darrel Murphy, both of Naylor, Mo., Ricky Murphy of Texas, and Donald and Clinton Murphy, both of Murphysboro; four daughters, Lindsay Murphy and Marcy Murphy Chrum, both of Murphysboro, Mettie Murphy of Summershade, and Lisa Daly of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Gary Carrington of St. Charles; a sister, Terry Sanders of Scott City, Mo.; and 19 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and a son.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Pettett Funeral Home and from 10 to time of service at 11 on Tuesday at the Outreach Ministries. The Rev. Robert Norris will officiate, with burial to be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
